Welcome!

This is Apostolos "Dox" Doxiadis, online researcher and writer. You may have seen some of my work in The Internet 1997 Unleashed and in Web Guide Magazine. I have worked in artificial intelligence, astronautics, simulation, and virtual reality. I have been a licensed investment executive. 

Unfortunately, I am not the author of the novel Uncle Petros and Goldbach's Conjecture; that is my cousin by the same name. 

In my online career, I have been the assistant leader for an "Internet In Business" forum, I have guided Internet newcomers in a beginner's forum, and been the Current Affairs moderator for a major newspaper's online edition. For more about me, look at the biographical note. 

In my years in technology, investing, and the online world, I have come across a number of fields that are extremely fascinating, and sometimes even useful. The Internet carries a lot of material on these. Unfortunately, there is a scarcity of clear guidance to this material: too much is written in a trendy, deliberately obscure and confusing style laced with hyperbole. This site, organized into "Guides" for specific topics, is aimed at intelligent adults. I hope that each of these will give you a clear picture of the topic, and get you interested and involved.
